Update on Travel to Kenya: We were disappointed to hear the news yesterday that a few tour operators have decided to cancel all their trips to Mombasa this season and that some nations are evacuating their clients from the coast with what seems like insufficient justification. Kenya has been at war with Al Shabab in Somalia for a few years now and has recently suffered a spate of terror attacks. While our hearts go out to those affected we would like to reassure anyone considering a trip to Kenya that as yet no specific tourist targeted incidents have occurred, so far only areas rarely frequented by tourists in Nairobi and Mombasa have been affected. While we would never say Kenya is 100% we can never say anywhere is 100% safe but what we can say is at this time Kenya needs your support more than ever, if tourism dwindles many people will lose their jobs causing insecurity to rise even more which would be a disaster for Kenya. At the same time we fully understand clients concerns about visiting so if you have any quires please dont hesitate to contact us for the latest information on the ground.
