Update on dad: He is doing great! We are still in the hospital completing the IV antibiotic therapy. He is now off of the oxygen. He walked three times yesterday!! I am thankful for all of the kind words and prayers that everyone was sending. I am very thankful that my brother and I were able to stay with him. There is no way that he could stay by himself. I have a renewed respect for families that want to stay with their loved ones while in the hospital. With dads intermittent confusion he is at a risk for falls and the thought of him being alone would have been horrific! I am grateful that the nurses extended their hospitality to me and my brother. They have all been wonderful! God has been good and given us more time with our precious dad!
