Update on my progress: I am now home. Physical therapy in home twice a week plus speech rehab and occupational therapy. I am not in a wheelchair! I can walk with a walker. High risk for falls, and I had my first fall this morning. But Mike was here and I was OK. Cannot speak well since half the muscles around the vocal cords are immobile, but that can improve with time. And there was only a 15 percent chance I would even be alive, that is pretty wonderful. I have a lot to appreciate this Christmas. Doctors and nurses prayed over me before the emergency surgeries, prayers have come from all over the country. I am very blessed!
