Update on the rescues: Tehachapi came from the rescue of 18, which quickly became 28 when Olive gave birth a few days after pick up (she came to us very pregnant). Their previous owner never handled them. They spent all their time cowered in a corner terrified of us. Too scared to even move. Weve had them for about a month now and the change is astounding! They come to the cage door everytime I come in to see them and practically beg for attention. They dont like the inital pick up but once theyre out they love it. They cuddle up for pets and loving. So sad to see them leaving soon, as theyll be going to their furever homes but I know their new owners are just as full of love for rats as we are.
