Update on the sick guitar: Got it back from Mike the luthier last week. Unfortunately, though hed done his best, it was unplayable. More unfortunately, Mike is in Scotland for the next two weeks for a bagpipe convention and I was losing money hand over fist! So I decided to have a go myself and got out my never used Allen key and my screwdriver to adjust the neck and the cone [suspence music] .... After one week of micro-adjustments, it is now 75% playable, which is almost adequate for busking,as opposed to the 50% it was before I started. Playing it still feels like someone scraping their fingernails down a blackboard though. I did a lot of research in the meantime, and can hopefully advise Mike on how to get it up to 85% when he comes back, which may be good enough for gigging. Failing a complete recovery, I will be forced to buy a new guitar. Heres a preview of the one I want [pay attention Santa].
