Updated posted by Gary Berg 28 mins ago So Mr Poochie is home following his surgery. We were told that all went well. He now has a piece of skin, taken from his eye lid grafted to his eye. Freaken amazing. The surgeon says that he really can not see thru the eye right now, that the eye will actually turn more red, and that is normal. Over time, the graft will fade and it will strengthen the weak spot he had and should prevent any further leaking, which caused him to lose much of his eyesight. The vet says that after a couple of months, we may see some improvement in his vision, but it should not deteriorate any further. I would be thrilled if the vision gets somewhere close to what we witnessed after his left eye was removed, as he was getting around pretty good. God willing, he will get back to that point, but now we must wait. An enormous thank you to those that have contributed to his surgery, without it we might have had to delay it and that would have been very detrimental to this little guys situation. At least we were able to make a good faith payment, but of course we need to get the balance paid shortly. PLEASE, PLEASE share this little guys story. Encourage your friends to read up on this guy. NO donation is too small, seriously. He has a long road ahead of him, with the ultimate goal of Poochie finding his forever home. He has come so far, but still has a way to go. Help him on his journey...please, and thank you all again for sharing his story and donating to his desperately needed care! gofundme/a5djl8
