Upgrade your wineskin! “And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, he pours new wine into new wineskins. -Mark 2:22 A lot of people strive to ‘do’ so they can appear to ‘be’, many act blessed, they borrow money to buy stuff to impress people who do not really care about them. They are like Saul in 1 Samuel 15, who was not really interested in being sorry but just wanted thing to appear as if thing were normal. Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:3, expect a man ‘BE’, Nicodemus was busy asking Jesus how He was ‘DOing’ great things…Jesus had to quickly correct him; it is all about ‘BEing’, who you are is much more important than what you do. It is important for us to develop ourselves to become who God wants us to become, God has great plans for us, but sometimes when He looks at us He sees old wineskins, and He cannot put new wine into old wine skins, so we need to rise and be committed to becoming vessels of honour suitable for the master’s use. Growth is important, no matter how much you love your 5 year old, you won’t give him the key of a car to drive, because he is not grown up enough for that, we need to grow spiritually, we need to develop mentally, we cant be the same old person weve always been and expect new things to happen. New wine only goes into new wine skins, spend time reading and studying, learn new things, develop yourself for as you learn you grow and as you grow you change and sure enough as you change, you attract new levels of blessings to your life. I decree the super grace of God to always have a new heart, mind and spirit will rest on us in Jesus name.
