Upon our arrival at the Manila International Airport on the 4th - TopicsExpress

Upon our arrival at the Manila International Airport on the 4th Aug 2014, we were welcomed with a heavy downpour (a shower of blessings) and Uncle Bert and Buboy were waiting for us for quite a while as we were the last to come out of the airport terminal. During our time in the Philippines, we were welcome with warm hospitality and were shown around by Brother Buboy as our driver and Uncle Bert as our guide - we were taken to different places where MAU has established Bible Study and feeding programs namely, Maligaya - 3 times a week, a poor and packed neighborhood which consist of about 300 families and there is only one feeding centre (we spent 2 nights at Maligaya, Ah Ne stayed at Ricos house while ET stayed at Arah Cohs house). Sta Rosa - MAU has yet to established a centre (base) for the street children to come due to the lack of suitable location and funds. Brother Buboy will gather the children at a specific location and do Bible Study and after the Bible Study Brother Buboy and Uncle Bert will take the children for a meal at a nearby stall/restaurant. Thats all they could do so far. Pila Village - about 2 hours drive from where Uncle Bert and Brother Buboys stay. There is a church in this village together with other properties which were destroyed by Typhoon Glenda but thank God the Mission Centre established by MAU was still intact, there are so far 4 children (2 boys and 2 girls) well taken care of by Sister Susan Agos (54) who is a paid staff. We spent 2 nights at the Mission Centre at Pila Village with the children and did Bible Study with them after dinner. We also did prayer walk together with the children and Sister Susan as a group. We are glad we have made the trip and we have been blessed by what we heard and seen. God willing, we will be back again !
