Upon tear down, my recently budget rebuilt 355 had extensive wear - TopicsExpress

Upon tear down, my recently budget rebuilt 355 had extensive wear on the rear main bearing as if the crank had been getting pushed forward. The machine shop guy thought it probably came from the torque converter (th400) not being slid into the trans correctly/completely. Anyone else ever seen this? I want to make sure it isnt the transmission itself acting up or a warped/bent flexplate. Dont want it happening again.
