Youd never guess he was officially middle-aged or that a little over a week ago his whole world was turned upside-down when his owner passed away and poor Booma traded the familiar comfort of home for a strange Care Center kennel. Hes such a friendly and welcoming guy, wagging his way to the front of his den and trotting calmly alongside me as we head out to the yard where he uses the facilities immediately, his clean bed suggesting he was very much house trained by his late master. Booma has all the good manners youd expect from a distinguished gentleman; coming promptly when called, taking treats gently from my hand and waiting patiently for the toss of a tennis ball. Though he prefers to keep the ball to himself, hes more than happy to let me pet and cuddle him as he works on it and his tail really goes into overdrive when I give him a good ol butt rub! Its a quiet night at the Center and we meet no other dogs outside but Booma seems calm and easy when passing through the halls and even the noisiest pups fail to rattle him. He did so well when it came to meeting an unknown dog during his behavior assessment that I think its safe to assume he enjoys the company of his fellow pooches and would love the chance to get out on the town with some new buddies. Booma is a wonderful, affectionate boy and so full of life, he deserves to spend the rest of his days in the peace and security of a real home.
