Urgently looking for Area Sales Manager from Rural Channel Sales experience for AP / Telangana / Karnataka for a venture involving technology deployment to agriculture sector - Rush Profiles to sheetal.k@horizonbusinessservice Our Client is seeking smart and independent Area Managers to drive growth of our sales and distribution through dealers. The candidate must have a strong track record of building up relationships with dealers, increasing sales volume through wide dealer network and be excited about the opportunity to build a new brand from the ground up in one of the Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka states. The position will be based out of multiple locations across AP/ TG/ KA states, reporting to the States Regional Sales Manager. The ideal candidate demonstrates a high level of initiative and independence – you make your own plan regardless of whether anyone asks you for it and you deliver results with minimal guidance. Responsibilities: • Market Development & Mapping • Understand the competitive landscape, keep management informed of changing industry dynamics, market conditions, competitive and customer developments. • Map potential area with regard to crops, seasonality, sowing seasons, land holding, farmers economy etc. • Map Market & competitors tracking • Sales Operations: Establish Dealer network, Develop Dealers, motivation plan & implementation Responsible for sales forecasting & tracking Hire field sales team, Training, Development plan & implementation Motivate team to reach their targets Regular field visits in the operational areas to support, monitor & supervise the sales team and interact with potential farmers Coordinate with the Marketing team for organizing different promotional activities for ensuring sales increase Monitor monthly activity plans of sales officers Review & control sales officers field expenses Collect regular feedback from the farmers & dealers regarding product, price, delivery & promotion, other market developments. Coordinate with HO for customer support & warranty issues Maintain MIS /data of sales Background and Skills: • 2 - 4 years of professional sales work experience in agro input/ seeds/ fertilizer/ drip irrigation sales • Agricultural education background (ex. B-Tech/B.Sc./ M.Sc. in Agriculture) • High level of initiative and independence, Good business sense, Good planning and organizational skills • Excellent communication and people skills • Excellent sales and negotiation skills • A personal commitment to excellence – your work quality demonstrates pride in yourself and your company • Willingness to travel frequently throughout the South of India – up to 70% of the time • Fluent in written and spoken English and Telugu/Kannada.
