Uri Avnery´s latest article- contains the maximum of sense you can possibly squeeze out of a liberal zionist position (I´m in not-cynical mode here). I think we all can learn a lot from Avnery in terms of Realpolitik and those who blackmail him for still supporting a two-state solution should be aware that he has made clear in the past that this could also be some kind of conferation (not at all too different from a one state with two federal states). Plus: when the jewish state of Israel was declared in 48, it was Avnery who sat in his room crying for the loss of the unity of his homecountry while the jewish crowds in the street were celebrating and dancing the hora.
