Usually typhoons go out of their way to avoid the Tajimi area and people have kind of gotten used to that. Typhoons hate Tajimi, is the common saying. Yesterday morning however, people were taking things very seriously indeed. Yesterday was supposed to be the Ichinokura Sakazuki Museum garden festival, but instead it looked like a ghost town. Even the coin laundry was buttoned up tight. (Thats water being blown across Aois windshield and distorting the photo - too wet and too windy to be out, except for our intrepid photojournalist Aoi Tokugawa who will risk life and limb for a story.
