After the first round that covered Muzzafarbad districts and contiguous districts the BJP was so elated and felt that they could even better the 50 odd seat haul opinion polls like NDTV forecasted. But after round 2, the mood is considerably less optimistic so much so that the BJP is believed to have scaled down their best scenario to around 35 seats - a whopping 20% downscale. What is feared is that if this trend of counter-consolidation gains momentum, the BJP may fall back even further as subsequent rounds get completed.
