Uzbek woman held for running prostitution racket. NEW DELHI: An Uzbek woman has been arrested for allegedly running a prostitution racket in southeast Delhi. Dilsukh has been accused of forcefully pushing two other Uzbek woman into flesh trade. She was also arrested in 2011 when a crime branch team nabbed five CIS nationals from Lajpat Nagar for running a flesh trade. "At that time, she was working as a call girl. She escaped punishment then and now she is working as a pimp,' said a senior police officer. The prostitution racket was busted when the two victims managed to flee and reach the Safdarjung Hospital on Sunday night. They told the doctors that they had been confined and gang raped repeatedly. Whenever they protested, they were beaten up. The Lajpat Nagar police have now registered a case of gang rape, assault and immoral trafficking. "Preliminary enquiry showed that their passports were seized too and even the money received from clients was not handed over to these girls. The two victims had arrived in India in January on a tourist visa and had met Dilsukh at Agra. She had asked the girls to meet her once they are in Delhi. The women put up at a Paharganj hotel and they were later pushed into flesh trade,' said an investigating officer. "We are in touch with the Uzbekistan embassy in this regard. The girls underwent counselling on Tuesday,' said Gaurav Sharma, additional DCP (southeast). Earlier in 2011, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested five foreign women, including a pimp, for their alleged involvement in a prostitution racket. All the accused were in their twenties and work as models during the day, and had come to India on tourist visa, said sources. TOI
