VACANCIES Malawi Telecommunications Limited (MTL) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the vacant positions in Blantyre. RETAIL OUTLETS MANAGER – HR14127 Reporting to the Head of Sales and Distribution, the main purpose is to develop and manage all business activities within the designated region. The main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Management of Retail Outlets Managers, monitors and evaluates performance of the retail outlets. Coordinates with the Technical Department on installation, fault clearance and new business development. Ensures that there is appropriate sales stock levels, all stocks taken out are accounted properly all sections have adequate resources. Development of Business Plan and Sales Programs Develops annual Business plan for operational territory. Contributes to the development of the overall business plan. Develops sales initiatives to meet operational territory’s sales budget. Analyses business trends and develops sales proposals to exploit business opportunities. Interprets business plans and develops sales targets for each retail outlet and monitors performance. Makes proposals/Business case to superiors on how to respond to market trends. Customer Service Ensures that customer records are collected and maintained at all times. Ensures that customer records are reconciled with Billing and Switching. Keeps track of customer queries, suggestions and complaints and takes appropriate action. Ensures that good customer relationships are maintained of all times Debt Management Oversees retail customers’ credit limits in line with credit policy. Checks that the retail outlets are up to date with collections and customer accounts. Recommends a payment plan that is negotiated with the retail customer Staff Management Provides leadership, mentoring and on job coaching for retail outlet staff. Ensures adequate staffing within the retail outlets. Identifies staff skills gap and recommends capacity development and recruitment. Budget Prepares regional sales budget which becomes an input to the business plan in liaison with other departments Implements and monitors the retail outlets sales and opex budget. Reporting Sales performance weekly and monthly report. Customer complaints/suggestions weekly report. Fault/installation progress weekly report. Reconciliations on sales and stocks monthly report. The successful candidate should have the following qualifications and attributes: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Diploma in Marketing (CIM) or its equivalent with at least five years’ experience in a related position. Should have analytical skills and attention to detail. Should have excellent written and oral skills. Be honest and of good integrity. Be results oriented. Have initiative. Good Computer skills. Should be a Team Player. Should have good negotiation skills.
