He/ She should have the following: • A certificate in Food Production from Malawi Institute of Tourism or equivalent from a recognized institution • At least 2 years’ experience Reporting to the Food and Beverages Supervisor, the Chef’s duties will include: • Preparation and serving of different Cuisine starters, main meals and Desserts including pastry and Vegetarian dishes. • Assisting in planning Menu’s in consultation with guests and supervisor • Maintaining kitchen stock records and ensuring that adequate stocks are maintained through timely ordering. • Assisting Supervisor to ensure food expenditure control through effective internal and physical controls • Ensuring acceptable health and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
