VAT Regulation Nonsense, whilst the headline grabbing lets hit Amazon, Google and apple of the new downloads VAT laws and regulations sounds all so good, who do you think will pay? You and I and anyone who wants to learn from a download? If books are not subject to VAT why should an ebook be? You can bet Google and Apple will not be paying the bills it will be you and me and the small businesses that have now got to take another 20% out of their margins? I am on a bit of a rant here because engineering time could definitely be spent on something more productive. Some smaller software vendors may just dropout of serving europe, own goal or what. Think it through, where is the joined-up thinking in this? A tax on learning, just stupid.
