VDOT SCHEDULED CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE WORK CULPEPER DISTRICT: June 2-6, 2014 Culpeper County Route 3 (Germanna Highway) – Installation of raised pavement markers from just east of Route 750 (Ellis Road) and the Orange County line, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Traffic will be reduced to one lane controlled by directional arrow boards and traffic control devices. Pavement patching between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on the following roads. Traffic will be reduced to one lane controlled by flaggers and a pilot truck. Expect minor delays. · Route 673 (Newbys Shop Road) from Route 675 (Thoms Road) to Route 674 (Kellys Ford Road) · Route 715 (Duncan Trail) from Route 644 (Reva Road) to Route 608 (Oakland Road) Route 674 (Kellys Ford Road) – Milling operations between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. from Route 29 (James Madison Highway) to Route 620 (Edwards Shop Road). Traffic will be reduced to one lane with movements controlled by flaggers and pilot truck. Motorists should anticipate stopping on approach to the work zone and expect delays. Town of Culpeper Route 15/29 Business (Madison Highway) – Construction of roundabout at Route 229 (Main Street). A new traffic pattern is in effect using a temporary signal. All traffic on Route 15/29 will follow signs to an intersection with Route 229 east of the current signal. Traffic headed north on Route 229 will turn left onto the temporary lane. The northbound and southbound lanes will be limited to one lane of traffic within 1,000 feet of the intersection between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Motorists should expect minor delays, reduce speed and follow traffic controls. Route 229 (Main Street) – Construction of roundabout at Route 15/29 Business (Madison Highway). A new traffic pattern is in effect. All traffic on Route 229 will follow signs to a temporary traffic signal east of the current signal. Lane closures will occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Motorists should expect minor delays, reduce speed and follow traffic controls.
