VERY ENCOURAGING NEWS ON DEBBIE!!!! I just got off the phone with Debbies brother and he said that Debbie is responsive today. She was able to follow some commands and was able to answer questions by squeezing their hands and nodding her head. I wish I could be there with her, but I cannot go into ICU with this sore throat even with a mask on, I do want to take the chance. Larry said the nurse asked if Debbie was cold and she shook her head back and forth to reply no. The nurse asked her to give a thumbs up and she did. Larry asked her a couple of questions and asked her to squeeze his fingers and she was able to do that. It appears that the Christmas miracle has happened, just a couple of days late, but I will take it. I am so excited to hear this great news. As I said, I wish I could be there, but with a scratchy sore throat and dry cough I just cannot risk it. It is good to know that family is there with her as she starts to come out of this funk. I think we may be on the long hard road to recovery. We will get there eventually. Thank you all. All of you have made the difference in her situation. Between all of you praying for her and the hard work of the doctors and nurses I think Debbie is going to be okay. Guy
