VFW Post 2667 Member and Korean War veteran Danny Joe Hornsby, 82, of Grantville, GA, passed away Tuesday. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was wounded and spent three months in an Army hospital in Japan. Afterward he returned to Camp Gordon for six months and was discharged with total disability. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel. Funeral service will be Friday, Sept. 13 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
