VICE-PRESIDENT Guy Scott has called on cooperating partners to help fund law enforcement and scientific research for effective wildlife management in Zambia. He said inadequate financial resources had crippled law enforcement operations to curb poaching. Dr Scott was speaking when he officiated at the 2011 wetland season survey of elephants and other large mammals in the Luangwa Valley. He said although Government was committed to funding wildlife research and monitoring programmes, the task required support from stakeholders and partners. He hailed Conservation Lower Zambezi, Elephant Without Borders and African Parks Network for responding to Government‘s call for support in the 2013 aerial surveys of some game management areas and national parks.
