VICTORIAS BARREL TUNA ARE ON....... Simon Rinaldi from Red Hot Fishing Charters - Portland Tuna & Port Phillip Bay Snapper has kicked the season off with a bang today (28/0/2014). After heading out, Simon and crew had a double hooked up on monster tuna. Both estimated at over 200lbs, the first fish crossed over the other after 20 minutes and busted off while the second was on for 6.5 hours until it took a massive run spooling a Tiagra 50w. Simon said the fish was like nothing he had expected, just pure power. With 8 barrels to his name, this fish was something else. A fantastic effort from all on board. The first fish took a Richter Soft Oscar SNR in the 502/506 colour while the second fish took a Richter Splash SNR in the Lumo colour......
