VIDEO: Burundian president visits Somalia Somali President HE Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has hailed the role played by Burundi as part of the African Union Mission in Somalia, as instrumental in contributing to the peace and security in the country.The President was speaking as he welcomed Burundian President Pierre Nkurunziza who was on an official visit in Mogadishu today. H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud thanked the Burundian government for their spirit of brotherhood that has seen them support Somalia as it emerges from years of civil war. Burundian President Pierre Nkuruzinza pledged the continued support of his government to the Somali government and its people in the fight to defeat extremist group the al Shabaab.
