VIOLENCE IN THE WESTERN CAPE RIGHT NOW: I spent part of last week consulting on what ostensibly appears to be lack of consultation with interested parties in connection with the role out of BRT. I dont have all the facts right now, but I have had direct information on over 50 livelihoods displaced. I understand there are 100s more. Each of the 50 owners represent several drivers, families, and so on. This is just one example of how systematic economic exclusion continues in SA. We need to understand this affects us all. An injury to one of us, injures all of us. JFK said those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable. We need to understand that we dont change what we are not concerned about and we can never be concerned with what we dont know about. I am here to tell you that you have brothers and sisters suffering extreme injustice right now and it affects you. You need to be part of saying no to this. We cannot exclude enormous numbers from the economy and expect to be ok. Further updates will follow. Peace and #bloodlessrevolution
