VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY The Superior Court of California is seeking volunteers to serve on the grand jury for the fiscal year beginning in July. Training is available for this opportunity. The requirements to be a grand juror are that one must be: a United States citizen, 18 years or older, never been convicted of a felony, able to commit to 20 hours a week, literate in English, a good listener, able to cooperate with others, ability to write lucid reports, and cannot currently be serving as a trial juror. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the criminal justice system, to meet local employees in the field, to add to one’s resume, and to give back to one’s community.
