VOLUNTEERING FOR CHARITABLE GIVING - My life as a volunteer for non-profit organizations since 1960 - sometimes paid sometimes free - has powered my dreams, my husbands and our childrens lives. The quality and caliber of people I volunteer for in their organizations have made me what I am today. Little or no pay, I worked as though it was the best job I can do regardless. I believed in rubbing elbows and doing so, can only be done with people I work around with and my future success depends greatly upon the high achievers whose lives I admired and wished for myself. Only way was to circulate around them and to try anything that worked. I didnt waste time waiting without doing something that meant opportunities do not fall like raindrops at my door but rather I went out to find them. So, thats why I offered and volunteered my time, effort, knowledge and gambled many chances that opened unexpected good results. My experience as a volunteer cannot be quantified in terms of financial gains but in the countless number of wonderful, influential, powerful, and highly effective people I can count on. My investments are simply willingness to offer what I can for others to gain something, time, and sacrifice. financial and material contribution towards the spirit of charitable giving. I urge you to volunteer at whatever status you are in life - the bottomline - SHARING what you have and GIVING of yourself for love of God and people. Those of us who have jobs and who have the little means to share with others - ARE THE MOST WHO VOLUNTEER because we have to share our financial gains and we have to spend our free time off work to enable others by sharing experience, knowledge and the know-how that enables us in our own lives - that they may wish to have time like us and the means to share like we do.
