VOLUNTEERING IN THE ATC The following list provides some examples of activities that a cadet can undertake for the volunteering section of the DofE. The list is not exhaustive and there may be others. The important thing to remember is that it is the cadet’s choice. The leader should agree the goals with the cadet and the activity must reflect the achievement of these goals. Timescales should be set according to the level of the DofE and an assessors report should be completed at the end of the period. Mentor new cadets. Instruct junior cadets. Run the canteen. Work in the stores. Help the Adjutant with admin. Take responsibility for radios, IT, model making, etc. Run the DofE. Help on County/Wg events. Help a Service Charity. Organise a local community event. Adopt a war memorial. Visit older people with Service background. Flt Sgt K
