Vacancy: Pyoe Pin Programme - Monitoring and Learning Officer (ONE POST AVAILABLE) Salary : USD864 Pyoe Pin is a civil society strengthening programme funded by DFID and Sida and managed by the British Council. It aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society in Myanmar to participate in decision making by supporting issues around which positive coalitions of civil society, private sector and government can build. The Programme works predominantly with local partners and stakeholders to support the facilitation of coalitions in the areas of health, education, environment, economy and rule of law, with the aim of contributing to the furthering of democratic and accountable governance in Myanmar. The Pyoe Pin Programme in Myanmar is recruiting a Monitoring and Learning Officer. Responsibilities The Monitoring and Learning Officer will work closely with the Monitoring and Learning Manager, supporting her by providing both general day-to-day back-up and specific work as identified in the Key Activities mentioned in the Job Description. These tasks will be undertaken in collaboration with Pyoe Pin IBP Managers and Coalition Facilitators, and other members of the PP office team. Requirements An ability to critically analyse information An ability to organise complex material and data An interest in being engaged in evaluative processes, being supportive and able to assist in encouraging active participation. An ability to communicate with a wide range of different people, from local communities to senior staff in IBP partners and to maintain appropriate working relationships An organised and efficient approach to their work and adherence to reporting and other deadlines Fluency in English, or where fluency has not been achieved, a willingness to attend classes to improve his/her English An ability to understand and manipulate basic data and produce statistical reports An understanding of the importance of good and accurate record keeping Computer literacy Knowledge of and understanding of civil society (Please see detailed information in Job Description document.) Monitoring and Learning Officer (ONE POST AVAILABLE) Salary : USD864 The contract This is one year contract that is extendable at the end of a year. Probation period will be 3 months for this post. You are expected to work 37.5 hours per week.
