Vacancy of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) - internship in the project modernization of municipal services - site: Pristina, Kosovo usage period: 15.7.2013 15.12.2013 deadline: 20.06.2013 short description:-the project supports communities on the basis of a coherent EU compliant legal framework competent and friendly to carry out their new responsibilities in the areas of municipal services. The project takes a more level approach and cooperates with various actors of Government, administration and civil society at national and sub-national level. Responsibilities:-support the project in the guidance of national government institutions and the community in the development and implementation of an approach to the dissemination of best practices, and assist in the implementation of awareness campaigns in the pilot communities. In addition to substantive research, analysis, preparation of concept for specific activities and support the organisation of events, your tasks include also the preparation and follow-up of meetings. In addition, they support the knowledge management of the programme and the implementation of monitoring activities. Requirements:-you have a completed basic studies of the political, administrative, economic, or law and have already knowledge in the area of development cooperation and a basic understanding of the topics of multi-level governance/decentralization, local development, or public-private partnership (PPP). You bring initiative, flexibility, the ability to work independently, and the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and situations. You are able to grasp complex situations and to render simply and clearly in writing. You have excellent knowledge of English and a very good written comprehension. You have some experience in dealing with research, the Organization of events and knowledge processing. They have good to very good PC knowledge (MS Office suite). Note: The internship is only possible if you are currently enrolled, are in training, the integral part of which is the completion of a training course or the completion of studies at the beginning of the internship is not more than 6 months back.
