Valken Tactical Must Attend Event! Warning Order – Operation - TopicsExpress

Valken Tactical Must Attend Event! Warning Order – Operation Blacksheep @ Skirmish – 5-7 July 2013 Registration is OPEN now! Situation: • Operation Blacksheep @ Pine Plains has been put on hold indefinitely due to Federal Sequestration. When and if Fort Drum can support Pine Plains again, we will return. • An extensive search of the Northeast has been conducted to find a suitable venue to replace Fort Drum and service the Northeast player population with an urban style competition. The following locations were contacted and could not support the request for a MILSIM competition: Camp Ethan Allen, VT; Camp Edwards, MA; Fort Devins, MA; Stones Ranch, CT; Norwich Hospital, CT; Undercliffe Hospital, CT; Fort Dix, NJ; and Fort Indiantown Gap, PA. The reasons for declining ran the spectrum from environmental issues and hazardous materials to facility limitations and training conflicts. • SKIRMISH is the ONLY suitable facility to host a Blacksheep event in the Northeast (skirmish). This is the world’s premier paintball facility – 750 acres, multiple villages with structures and an endless list of FRAGO missions. We will transform this field into the MILSIM battlefield of your dreams. We will fight the entire North Field just like the MOUT at Fort Drum. We will have the entire facility from 1800 Saturday till 0900 Sunday for FRAGOs and special missions. • Skirmish is a paintball field, get over it! There is dried paint on the structures. This dried paint creates a white/grey dust that is non-toxic, edible and will wash off. • This is going to be a long term relationship with Skirmish, so don’t pass up this opportunity to become a PATHFINDER @ Skirmish. I am already in discussions with the owners to schedule a winter game and help them build a MILSIM section of their park. We need your support to make all of this happen! Mission: Operation Blacksheep conducts a 24 hour, force on force, objective oriented, continuous combat simulation at Skirmish from 5-7 July 2013. • Military graphics will be used for Operation Blacksheep @ Skirmish. For reference when you are looking at the map on their website (skirmish/content/fields/), the following areas will be grouped as one large MOUT site – Tippmann Castle, Heart of Darkness, Fort Skirmish, Empire Castle, Alamo, Tippmann City and the Airfield. All of these have 1, 2 and 3 story structures. • The remaining areas of Skirmish in the southern section will be used for FRAGOs and special missions. • The power line cut will be the boundary between paintball (southern park) and airsoft (northern park) from 1200-1800 on Saturday and from 0900-1200 on Sunday. General Instructions: • This is a Pathfinder event – everyone who attends will pay $150 for the life of this event. • Special Early Bird fee of $125 for those who register before June 15. After June 15 the regular Pathfinder fee of $150 will be applicable. • OPP/COVE Pathfinders pay their honorary fee of $100. • This is a squad based competition. Use the Squad Reservation and Squad Recruiting sections of the Forum to reserve a squad slot or recruit to fill your squad or find a squad to join.
