Vavi corruption report delayed by murder of auditor The murder of a senior investigator at an auditing firm has delayed a report into allegations of corruption against Cosatu general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi, according to a report. SizweNtsalubaGobodo forensic services director Lawrence Moepi was shot dead in his car at the firms premises in Houghton last month. He was reportedly leading the investigation into the sale of the Congress of SA Trade Unions old building in Braamfontein, which Vavi has been accused of mishandling. The Sunday Independent reported that, according to agenda notes of a meeting of Cosatus central executive committee to be held in a weeks time, the firm had indicated that it had wanted to present the findings in November, but that Moepis death had jeopardised the chances of it doing so. All the meeting would receive was a progress report. SAPA
