Vehicle loaded with LPG cylinders seized Posted on August 2, 2013 by Dailyexcelsior Excelsior Correspondent MENDHAR, Aug 1: Sub Divisional Magistrate, Mendhar today seized a Tata Mobile loaded with LPG cylinders in Jallas area for black-marketing and handed over to police today. The SDM Shafiq Ahmed, who was on way to Poonch from Mendhar noticed the vehicle loaded with LPG cylinders near Jallas and found that driver and his associate were black-marketing the cylinders. Both managed to escape but were later overpowered by the SPOs of the SDM by chasing. Later, the vehicle along with driver and associate were handed over to Poonch police. The SDM also brought the matter to the notice of Deputy Commissioner Sajjad Ahmed Khan Poonch who recommended black-listing of Bharat Gas agency at Mendhar being run by one Raj Kumar, a Government teacher. The DC also sought departmental action against the teacher. There is severe shortage of LPG for the genuine consumers at Mendhar but agency managers were allegedly indulging in black marketing.
