More blood was taken today to test for tumour markers so it can be definitively ruled out, and a barium swallow and MRI are next to be done. The specialist suspects an abscess, a bleed from infection or infection, so an operation is likely for mid-May. Depending on whats found, that part of the liver will more than likely be resected. If it is infection, the source could be from a previous surgery, or even from something like a dental abscess. Next appointment is 2 May, so we go from there. The specialist was a kind, reassuring and personable man, who allowed me the time to explain what was going on. I have every faith in him, and once this is fixed, energy levels and health can be restored :-)
