Versatility of Yorkshire Rubber Linings. Yorkshire Rubber Linings Ltd reputation among the abrasion, chemical and oil and gas industry is well known for its rubber lining and coating expertize, but YRL also carry out very successful bespoke work for other industries. One such bespoke work can be seen at the WEC (World Rally Championship) in the M-Sport Ford Fiesta Rally car, in 2003 YRL helped develop and rubber cover the gear shift knobs in the M-Sport cars for the 2014 WEC. The rubber is used on the gear knobs to give better grip to the drivers when changing up and down the sequential gearbox. About M-Sport Established by ex-factory team driver Malcolm Wilson, M-Sport was selected to run Ford’s World Rally Championship programme in 1997, and achieved considerable success over the next 14 years, including two manufacturer titles in 2006 and 2007. Apart from its own team, M-Sport also runs cars for private teams and individuals, which is why Fiesta RS world rally cars are such a common sight on entry lists. In 2014, the M-Sport World Rally Team features a driver line-up that blends youth with experience. After two years at Citroen, Mikko Hirvonen makes a return to the team with which he enjoyed the bulk of his success, while Welsh youngster Elfyn Evans gets his first season at rallying’s top class.
