Verses and thought of the day. 2 Corinthians 13:1-10, Coming with Authority--The proper use of spiritual authority is not to lord it over others or to create subservient followers. Spiritual authority is for building up others in Christ, and that was what Paul wanted for his congregation. If you are in a position of spiritual authority— whether as a parent, church leader, or Sunday school teacher—reflect on how you use that position. Are you encouraging others? Or are you trying to assert your control over the people around you? Pray that God will use the message and example of Paul to shape you into a gentle, encouraging leader. God Bless and Have a Great weekend.
