Very confused today! I am a member of the Roman Catholic Church - TopicsExpress

Very confused today! I am a member of the Roman Catholic Church in Newfoundland Canada. Those of you who are going to the Novus Order mass, but have True Devotional Roman Catholic priests are very blessed. Here in Newfoundland, many (not all) have changed from the true Roman Catholic Church to the more modern ecumenical Church. Many traditional reverent practices in a lot of our churches, I have to question....Are we even Roman Catholic anymore? For instance, our mass is like a social get together. Prior to the priest, processing up the altar, there are conversation between parishioners in almost every pew. It is not quiet during the beginning of mass as all you hear is steady chatter. Our priest has told the congregation that with the changes that are taking place in the church, that we dont have to genuflect to enter the pew. We dont have to bow our heads or genuflect when approaching the alter. We dont kneel during consecration of the body and blood of Christ as to kneel is an inconvenience to our parishioners. This was put to a vote during mass and the parishioners decided that there was no need to kneel. We are told that during communion that basically we are sharing a meal. Thus so that we are respectful to all parishioners...that after receiving communion - all should remain standing. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE KNEELS AFTER COMMUNION TO SAY A PRAYER TO OUR LORD AND GOD. In my parish, receiving communion on the tongue is discouraged because of the increased possibility of the spread of infection by the priest placing The Holy Eucharist in peoples mouths. I myself, once I learned that the proper way to receive Holy Communion most reverently was to receive it from the priest on the tongue. So I started doing this. Needless to say since I did this, my parish priest has made me feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome..that I knew this was not a true Roman Catholic Church. So sine that time, we have been going to other churches...only to find that these practices in our church are wide spread. I am told by my parish priest that my practice of receiving Holy Communion on the tongue regardless of what church I attend ....is only tolerated. And that I am creating a lot of confusion and chaos in my church. If that is not bad enough, over 20 years ago, our Roman Catholic schools were all changed to nondenominational schools. My teenager as well as many of the young who dont go to church (and that is many), no longer believe in a God. As my daughter tells me....Mom there is so much science that disproves that God exist. :-(. This may not be happening in your Churches but it is here. Truly, we are living in sad...sad...times
