Very exciting new postcard acquired! A clearer view of the now confirmed cinema building in late 1920s Deepcut (roughly the right time I think). I think I can make out a petrol pump in the same place that the awning is outside modern day Deepcut Garage today (was that a petrol station in recent years?) Fairly sure that is a Hovis van slightly further down the hill! Interesting to see that most of those building still exist, the cinema was replaced by the current Garage building sometime in the 30s (originally a Post Office I believe), and the last bit of the other end of the garage has been replaced by a boxy three floor block of flats. All the others are pretty much as they were then, with the odd pebble-dashing added here and there. If I could now find a view looking down Woodend Road, so I could try and make sense of the past and present numbering that would be awesome!
