Very fun afternoon at the library today! We are thrilled to announce that we now have a Makerbot: Replicator 2. This is a compact, user-friendly 3-D printer that will be available to all library users. The first photo below is of me, Technology Services Supervisor Rich Gantzhorn, Veer Kaur (who set the printer up for us and taught us to use it,) and Bill James, founder and CEO of JPods, who generously donated the MakerBot. The second photo is of a couple of the cool 3-D objects we have printed out so far. We will be doing a demo of the printer on Thursday at 3:30pm-- so stop in to check it out.
