Very productive but exhausting day. Although I knew this about myself already, it really clicked today: I have such a strong desire to focus on inner things here and now (understanding principles of Gods Word, being fully engaged with people Im talking to in this moment, etc.) that I dont want to let any energy or time go to refocusing on things that havent happened yet. Hence, its EXHAUSTING for me to do long term planning and even short term administration for events later in the week. That doesnt mean Im excused from it or cannot do it well. It just takes LOTS more self discipline and energy to do so! What are some of your preferences that you must sometimes war against?
