Very proud of Britni . She has been working with New Voices every Tuesday at the drop in center with women experiencing homelessness. The Milford group was Nationally recognized last week. They have ask Britni to be one of two students to go to Washington DC for the 25th Annual National Service Learning conference with them to present the work the students have done. I was able to see first hand when the girls did a Halloween party at the drop in center for the women, what a difference they have made. Both the women and the girls have touched each other lives. I was very lucky to see my daughter interact with these women, but of course now they need to find funding for the trip. Mrs. Schrunk had to find grants to get transportation for the girls there and back all year. She has exhausted her grants . The school didnt help out then and not looking good now. They are going to try to do a fundraiser and hope to find a sponsor to match the fundraising. If anyone knows of a sponsor let me know . Very proud of the compassionate woman Britni has become.
