Very quiet day with the Ross Harriers from Lower House Farm - TopicsExpress

Very quiet day with the Ross Harriers from Lower House Farm Kempley. We were with them throughout and not once did they speak. A combination of bad scent, the fact that the Harriers and the Ledbury between them are overhunting the coverts and our presence meaning that they had to be more careful all added up to (from what we saw) no hunting whatsoever. Lee spent most of the day trying to escape us with the field numbering 4, yes 4 riders 2 of whom were masters including ex Avon Vale master Jonathan Seed. The footage shows the closest they got to hunting all day with one cry of tally ho back (which means that a fox has tried to leave covert and gone back in again). This fox was not pursued, probably because we were filming, and instead we got to chat to Jonathan who saw nothing wrong with a full grown man riding a tiny Welsh mountain pony last week. The day ended with Lee making sinister comments about them sneaking about outside our homes which we cant show as he was quoting various addresses and postcodes at us. He seemed a bit rattled. Another group of 3c sabs went out with the Croome near Pershore today, report to follow.
