Very sad for the seal, but this is classic scaremongering. The Telegraph says badger, but the Huffington Post is more measured and quotes experts: "They just have no idea what it could have been from and no way of finding out. We had all the other animals here and the team tested and everything was negative." Even if it was a badger it was a one-off. Surely, if the finger blame should point anywhere it should be at Government and farmers for allowing TB to spread so widely in the national cattle herd in the first place. It is their negligence that has pushed this infection into British wildlife.
