Very sad news this morning, my good friend and sponsee Kevin Fahey passed away last night. He just celebrated 40 years clean a couple of weeks ago. If you knew Kevin you loved Kevin, he was one of those kinds of souls who was just kind to the core and a constant giver. He was one of the few people who consistently showed up for Jimmy K as a volunteer at WSO when the office was just a hole in the wall. About 12 years ago Tali and I decided the world needed to meet this man so we dragged him along with us to Thailand, Japan, Nepal, India, Indonesia, Greece, Malaysia, Spain and Morocco. Every where he he went people fell in love with him. He had these unique Kevin-isms about him that endeared you to him instantly. " Hey Kevin lets go we are waiting for you, Kevin would reply Shit man if your waiting on me your backing up". Kevin was a white guy raised by a black Jazz musician and his family, he knew music and was like a relic from a time forgotten. I will miss him terribly. My friend.
