Veteran Hiring Expo Comes to Northwest Suburbs (Arlington Heights, Ill.) –The Veteran Hiring Expo: Welcome Home to Careers & Resources is coming to the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois on May 15th from 10 am-4 pm. This one-of-a-kind expo is designed to connect military, veterans and their families to local resources including benefits, education, employment, housing, legal, mental health, and many more services. Attendance is free and open to 3,000 military, veterans and their families and will offer 150 exhibitors who will be sharing not only their available services, but will be hyper-focused on helping veterans connect with employers that have open and available positions. In addition to having 75 employers on site, there will be stations for candidates to be interviewed as well as computer stations for applicants to complete online job applications while on site. This event is a collaborative effort between multiple organizations including The Support All Veterans Equally, Keeling Foundation-VetTech.US, Illinois Department of Employment ( IDES) 85th Support Command, Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, HandsOn Suburban Chicago and Pritzker Military Museum & Library. Agencies, nonprofits, universities or any organization providing services to veterans are encouraged to attend.
