Veterans day, time for the story of the elderly tourist. When the old man attempted to go through customs at Orly airport outside of Paris, an arrogant customs inspector demanded his passport. He checked his pockets but he couldnt find his it. As he searched through his bag the haughty Frenchman asked him have you ever been to France before monsiour? The man replied Yes. Long ago the inspector scolded the old man you should know you would need your passport when entering France! The elderly gentleman stopped his search and told the inspector I didnt need it the last time! Impossible Monsiour, you always need a passport to enter France! The old timer straightend his stooped shoulders, looked the Frenchman in the eye and replied calmly When I came ashore at Normandy there werent any Frenchmen in sight to check my passport.
