Veteran’s Day Algoma Grade School Band Concert The Algoma Grade School will have a Veteran’s Day luncheon and band concert on Friday, November 8, 2013. All veterans are encouraged to arrive at 12:30 a.m. for the free lunch. After lunch there will be a patriotic concert. Please wear your Post cap or military uniform for this event. St. Therese in Pilsen will hold a church service on November 9, 2013 at 4 p.m. St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church will hold a service on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. in Montpelier. Algoma Library Veterans Day Alumni Alumni Program In honor of Veterans Day, Algoma Library Friends will present a live performance featuring well-known actress Jessica Michna as Eleanor Roosevelt. Mrs. Roosevelt was our very influential First Lady during World War II and an activist for veterans’ rights. The program will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at the Algoma Elementary School Auditorium. Tickets are $5.00 for veterans, $6.00 for non-veterans. Tickets will be sold at the Algoma Public Library or at the door. Algoma Library Friends hope you will be able to join them at this event. All proceeds are used for programs and unbudgeted library items. American Legion Post 29 Kewaunee Veterans Day Ceremony A Veteran’s Day gun salute will be held in downtown Kewaunee at the corner of Ellis and Milwaukee Streets on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. This will be followed by a wreath ceremony at the Kewaunee County War Memorial at the Kewaunee County Courthouse.
