Via Amro Ali Our dear friend Sherif Farag was arrested at 3am from his home and nobody knows where he is. Reportedly, he was taken on trumped up charges of inciting violence and belonging to an illegal group. Sherif is well know around Alex, he is a lecturer at the Fine Arts College, a heritage activist and a founder of Save Alex which seeks to save Alexandrias heritage buildings. He has never engaged or incited violence, let alone had involvement in illegal groups(ambiguous as that is). If anything, Sherif organised peaceful vigils around heritage sites and is one of the most cultured activists I know, and a big believer in non-violence. #FreeSherifFarag
