Victims of Uttrakhand disaster need your help, and not apathy. People facing the adversity in Uttrakhand want your support urgently. We all must unitedly pray for their good. I am incredibly terrified by this horrible disaster as if I was a victim of it. I want to provide help by all possible means to people of Uttrakhand and those who fell victims to it. I am also linked to an organization, ‘United Human Rights Organization’. Many members of this are helping people of Uttrakhand. Some joined with the ngo are from nearby places of Uttrakhand. I myself am going to provide help there, and am in continuous link with people from there and the members of the organization. You too can help by joining the organization. I am saying this as what happened there was terrifying, and what appeared more horrible was the act of the local Government. People who escaped from there told me about their experiences. Uttrakhand Government had claimed that food had been provided to all. If that is the case then how did many of them die of thirst and starvation? The egregious act of this apathetic government is in front of all. Besides, people of Badrinath too faced the problem. I talked on phone with a local priest who said that due to blocked roads many people were stranded for which food stock there was getting limited. They need help. Government is not providing sufficient help. I have a request from you all to provide all possible help. The people are in urgent need of your help. Villages have been destroyed in the natural disaster. The biggest issue of those people is to move their lives forward. Even your little help will be a blessing to people there. My biggest question is to the Uttrakhand Government. According to the Government, the present population there was around 10 lakh of which around 2 lakh were tourists and worshipers, and the rest were the locals. Lives of 104095 people have been saved so far, and there is no information about the remaining. There is no idea about how many priests and locals got trapped in the terrible disaster. The Uttrakhand tragedy has snatched happiness of numerous families. Thousands are missing even now after the accident. Families are involved in now searching them. According to those who escaped the disaster, those dead are not 500 or 600 but are in thousands. They claim to come from in between thousands of dead bodies in forests. Those who survived are of the opinion that Government was purposely doing delay in the whole matter. The more the problem increases, the more help will be sought from Government, and sections will get finances accordingly. There is good weightage to the opinion that more bodies would let the corrupt leaders, officers and their followers to take more Government’s money. Is this isn’t true then why does Government hesitate to declare it a national disaster? There is another ugly side of this huge trouble. The claims of those who were stuck and who saw and heard reality cannot be ignored. They are of the opinion that because all has been destroyed in Uttrakhand, soon there will be found stocks of thousands of crores, for responsibilities such as construction of the roads that got totally destroyed in the calamity. According to Government’s records, 650 roads have been fully destroyed till now. Similarly, there will be responsibility of construction of those 38 bridges that were flown away. Besides, a number of Government institutions will either be made again or be repaired. Telephone lines must also be laid again or provided maintenance. Something of this sort is required from the electricity department. As per the people who escaped the Uttrakhand terror, the tragedy will prove to be a good source of profit in crore by corrupt politicians, officers and authorities. The shameless leaders must learn from soldiers of defense where even the high-ranked officials also are at the time occupied in relief work. On the other hand, the greedy leaders are in this adversity too are busy in polishing their politics. Who is the politician or political group who in this relief work can take the place of defense in India? Not even one. We are nothing with the defense forces, and without their contribution, this big help would not have been possible. These many numbers of people could not be rescued if Uttrakhand Government would have been depended upon. Even now people are stuck at places there. Besides, there are locals who are left with nothing to move their lives forward, as their all has been destroyed in the horrible floods.
