THOUSANDS :) The Biggest Back to School Inclusion Fair and Backpack Give-A-Way in L.A. Hosted by the Los Angeles Dodgers and Sponsored by Bank of America Special Needs Network, Inc. (SNN), California’s leading grassroots autism advocacy organization, in collaboration hosted the 9th Annual Back 2 School Health + Resource Fair from 2 to 6 pm on Sunday, August 31 at the Dodger Stadium. Aimed to provide relief to families under financial pressure who may find it difficult to purchase back to school materials, they comitted to distribute over 2500 backpacks filled with supplies like pencils, notebooks, and more. Back 2 School, is the biggest inclusion healthcare + resource fair in Los Angeles for children with developmental disabilities and their families. The event brought out resource vendors who provided families with medical, dental, developmental, and mental health screenings, pro bono legal clinic, and educational workshops on a range of topics from harnessing the power of social media, to improving your overall health and wellness through daily exercises, and more. Back 2 School, also featured fun activities including rock climbing, arts and crafts, Volleyball Demos, pony ride, bouncy house, gaming stations, live music, and surprise celebrity guests. . “This is one of the country’s most innovative event and a much-needed part of the Los Angeles community,” said Los Angeles County Board (District 1) Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas.
